This position is part of Electrical Engineering team at SawStop.  This role is responsible for setting up tests, gathering information, design, and update embedded systems.  The position involves working closely with the rest of the staff, establishing procedures to complete tasks, and communicating results to the project leads.  The position reports to Electrical Engineering manager.


  • Establish and leverage a deep understanding of the company's proprietary Active Injury Mitigation (AIM)
  • Design and implement improvement strategies for new features, cost, quality, inventory and services
  • Develop procedures and evaluation methods to verify performance and functionality of product
  • Document hardware and software designs
  • Drive delivery of simulate, prototype, and troubleshoot new concepts and designs


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in an EE board-level design role
  • Multiple product design life cycles from early definition stage to manufacturing release
  • Experience with and understanding of analog and digital circuit design with a strong depth in embedded systems.
  • Broad expertise including component specifications, board level design, power design and software for embedded systems.
  • Experience with simulations, layout, debugging and EMC
  • Strong organizational and communication skills including documenting engineering projects, designs, and reports
